We spent Sunday evening and the next day moored in Simpson Bay (minus Joanne) who had checked herself into a hotel for 2 nights. It was still very rolly so Ian and I took the dinghy into the lagoon to try and find a safe marina. After a lot of searching we came across Simpson Bay Marina and lucky for us they had a vacancy. We moved Faraway into her slip and 2 guys with tenders and 50 hp outboards had to push us into the slip. It was a bit tense and we were relieved to be out of the weather which still continued to gust to 30 knots. I the afternoon we headed to the St. Martin yacht club to watch the yachts coming into the lagoon through the bridge. We saw ‘Whisper’ go through and managed to get the owner called Mark’s attention as he and the family sailed through. Ian managed to get some good video of the super yachts heading out and after the action we moved to Papalona for some steaks at the Rancho steak house and bid farewell to Bev who was travelling back to Saudi the next day.
