On Wednesday Ian and I still had a lot of shopping to do to get Faraway ready to sail. Our budget had been severely dinted over the last month so we had to make some tough decisions on what was really necessary. The first necessity was a new outboard for Puffin our dinghy. We bought the last one in the shop upgrading from a 4 horse power to 10 horse power engine. As luck would have it just as we got halfway across the lagoon our old engine died. Ian had forgot to bring the keys to unlock our old engine from the dinghy so we couldn't switch over to the new one. The new engine ironically was lying on the dingy floor laughing at us. No problem we would just get the oars out and row. Simple enough but Ian jammed the oar into our dinghy oar holder and unfortunately it snapped out. We were unable to even row! We had three forms of power but weren't going anywhere. Anyway this is a picture of Ian with his one oar.
